Aaron Miller’s two goals lead North Allegheny over Seneca Valley, 3-2

WARRENDALE, Pa. — Aaron Miller scored a pair of first-period goals as North Allegheny raced out to a three-goal lead and hang on to defeat Seneca Valley, 3-2 at Baierl Ice Complex in the first round of the 2019 PIHL Penguins Cup on Monday.

Miller’s goals came at 7:52 and 10:12 of the first period, and Tyler Lamark added on at 15:41 of the opening frame to give the Tigers a 3-0 lead.

After a scoreless second, the Raiders sparked a comeback, with third-period goals from Will Hohman and Tyler Draper closing the gap, but North Allegheny goaltender Richard Karapandi held the fort and the Tigers advanced to the second round.
