ACHA: Pitt sweeps crosstown series with Robert Morris

HARMAR TWP. and NEVILLE TWP., Pa. — The Pitt Panthers ACHA D-I team traveled to the RMU Island Sports Center to take on Robert Morris on Friday, Nov. 3, before playing host to RMU on Saturday, Nov. 4 at Alpha Ice Complex.

The Panthers took the first game on Friday, managing to hold on for the 6-4 win after jumping to a 6-1 lead after two periods. The second game on Saturday saw more of the same. The Panthers won, 5-1, after jumping out to an early lead they never relinquished.  They scored two goals in the final minute of a second period that saw RMU goaltender Jesse Broniszewski exit the game after taking a hit while attempting to play a loose puck.
