Butler, Pens Elite alum Bekk McClaine signs with NCDC’s N.H. Monarchs

Former Butler and Penguins Elite forward Bekk McClaine has signed with the New Hampshire Junior Monarchs of the National Collegiate Development Conference the Pittsburgh Penguins Elite announced on Tuesday.

Skating with the Pens Elite’s under-18 squad, McClaine had 10 goals and 29 assists in 55 games last season. Prior to joining the u-18 team, he played two seasons in 2017-18 and 2018-19 with the Butler Golden Tornadoes of the PIHL, scoring 17 goals and 14 assists in 32 games.

He scored 10 goals and 27 assists with the Pens Elite u-16 squad in 2018-19 as part of that team’s T1EHL and USA Hockey championships.

The NCDC is a 12-team league that is focused on developing players for NCAA hockey. The conference has teams in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Hampshire and New York.
