screen-shot-2016-12-10-at-11-00-07-pmThe Robert Morris Colonials earned the 200th win in program history and the 200th career win for head coach Derek Schooley in the team’s 4-1 win over the Bentley Falcons at John A. Ryan Skating Rink in Watertown, Massachusetts on Saturday.

The Colonials cashed in with a pair of early power play goals from unlikely sources, as bottom-six forwards Timmy Moore and Ben Robillard scored to help build a 3-0 lead heading into the third period.

Junior goaltender Andrew Pikul made his third career start and stopped 31 of 32 shots for his second consecutive victory.

Schooley is the only head coach in team history, coming on board before the inaugural 2004-05 season.

“To get 200 wins is a tremendous accomplishment for our program,” Schooley said in a press release. “We couldn’t have done it without the outstanding dedication of our alumni, current players and staff. I look forward to the next milestone.”

Robert Morris has a home-and-home series with Mercyhurst next weekend, starting with a game at 84 Lumber Arena Friday night at 7:05 p.m.
