Former Robert Morris forward Jacob Coleman has signed with the Worcester Railers HC of the ECHL, Coleman announced in a video posted to the Railers’ twitter account Thursday. The Railers are the ECHL affiliate of the New York Islanders (NHL) and Bridgeport Sound Tigers (AHL).

The Moon Township native played four years for the Colonials from 2016-2020, amassing 40 points (16 goals, 24 assists) in 133 games.

Prior to joining the Colonials, Coleman played parts of three seasons from 2013-2016 with the Muskegon Lumberjacks of the United States Hockey League, scoring nine points (three goals, six assists) in 53 games, and one season in 2014-15 with the Keystone Ice Miners of the North American Hockey League, putting up 5 goals and 25 assists in 55 games, which led to being named to the NAHL All-North Division Rookie Team that season.

Coleman joins other notable Robert Morris alumni in the ECHL, such as Alex Tonge (RMU ’19, Norfolk Admirals) and Brady Ferguson (RMU ’18, Newfoundland Growlers).
