Fox Chapel wins season opener on the road against Kiski Area 5-2

SALEM TWP., Pa. — The Fox Chapel Foxes win in convincing fashion over the Kiski Area Cavaliers, 5-2, to open the 2022-2023 season at Palmer Imaging Area.

Leading the Foxes was Mason Heiininger as he assisted on each of the goals for Fox Chapel. Danny Downey recorded a hat trick, including the game winner with 4:35 remaining in the second period. Also scoring for Fox Chapel was Killian Kissane and Spencer Goehring.

Scoring for the Cavaliers was Kyle Guido and Jake Stankay.

Up Next: 

Kiski Area will travel to Greensburg on Thursday, Oct. 6, to face Greensburg Salem at Kirk Nevin Arena at 9:15 p.m.

Fox Chapel will hit the road again on Thursday, Oct. 6, to play Freeport at the Belmont Complex in Kittanning at 7 p.m.
