Montour tops South Park, 6-3

MT. LEBANON, Pa. — Montour got two goals from Michael Felsing and Anthony Migliozzi and the Spartans defeated the South Park Eagles, 6-3, to advance in the PIHL Class-A Penguins Cup playoffs.

The teams traded goals in the early stages, with South Park getting goals from George Mettrick and Garrett Brecosky. Montour responded with tallies from Jospeh Bickel and Felsing tallied.

After that, it was all Montour. Migliozzi scored two goals to close out the second period with a 4-2 Spartans lead.

Montour got third-period goals from Dustin Geragach and Felsing got his second of the game as well. South Park scored once more before the whistle with the game ending 6-3.

South Park’s goaltender Shane Peremba faced an unofficial 54 shots during the game.

The game was marred with penalties throughout. A total of 65 penalty minutes were dished out including three 10 minute misconduct penalties and a five minute major.
