The 2017 PIHL Penguins Cup playoffs begin tonight and Pittsburgh Hockey Digest will have you covered all the way through to the Pennsylvania State Finals.

Here’s the slate of games for Monday, March 6.

CLASS AA

• Greater Latrobe (9-9-1) will host Mars (7-10-2) at Kirk S. Nevin Arena in Greensburg at 7:15 p.m. The Wildcats are led by Jared Schimizzi, whose 46 points are fourth in the classification. Noah Raymundo and Keaton Hanna lead a more balanced attack for the Planets.

• North Hills (9-10) and Shaler (9-9-1) will play at Baierl Ice Complex in Warrendale at 8:40 p.m. The Indians are the lowest-scoring Class AA team to earn a postseason berth, relying on strong goaltending all season. Alec Volz led the way with a .904 save percentage. He’ll be tested by a deep Titans squad.

CLASS A

• South Fayette (11-5-2) will host Serra Catholic (8-9-1) at Ice Castle in Castle Shannon at 7 p.m. The Lions are part of a four-team group that finished within two points of each other at the top of the Western Conference, but lost out to Baldwin for the bye. Instead, they’ll get a young Serra squad that will be hungry for an upset.

• Freeport (9-9) will visit Thomas Jefferson (12-6) at Rostraver Ice Garden at 7:15 p.m. The Jaguars’ dominant tandem of Daniel Harrold and Matthew Krieger lead the way and have combined for 51 goals. The Yellowjackets are playing some of their best hockey of the year down the stretch, winning four of their last five.

DIVISION 2

• Meadville (19-9-1) hosts Burrell (13-2-3) at 7 p.m.

• Carrick (16-4)  hosts Kennedy Catholic (14-2-2) at Ice Castle at 9 p.m.
