WHEELING, W.V. — The Wheeling Nailers took on the Brampton Beast on Friday night in the first night of their series in Wheeling. The Beast have two Robert Morris University Alumni on their roster, Scott Jacklin and Tyson Wilson. Jacklin took the ice sports the #8 jersey, while Tyson Wilson was scratched for this match up.

As the puck dropped, so did the gloves for Stefan Fournier for Brampton and Jeremy Beirnes for Wheeling, who both headed to the box for fighting 1 second into the game. Just 1:43 into the game, got the Nailers on the board with a shot from Garrett Meurs. Brampton answered with a goal from Nathan Todd, and scored once more before the end of the period giving the Beast a 2-1 lead. Nathan Todd scored his second of the game in the second period, giving the Beast a 3-1 lead. The Beast would take the game 3-1.

The Wheeling Nailers and Brampton Beast will duel it out tomorrow at the Wesbanco Arena in Wheeling at 7:05 p.m.
