NEVILLE TWP., Pa. — The Robert Morris Colonials played their last regular season game Saturday afternoon, which turned out to be a 4-1 defeat by the hands of the Syracuse Orange.

After some close early chances, Robert Morris opened the scoring in the first period, taking the lead with a shot from the stick of Marah Wagner who notched here sixth goal of the season at the 14:17 mark. While the rest of the game remained close, it was a frenzy of goals in quick fashion by the Orange in a second period onslaught that the Colonials were not able to overcome. Sarah Thompson made it even at 4:37 of the second period, followed by goals from Tatum White (5:20) and Abby Moloughney (6:40). Jessica DiGirolamo made it 4-1 at 8:51.

Arielle DeSmet started in net for Robert Morris stopping 14 of 17 shots on goal. After letting in the third goal in a 2:03 time frame, DeSmet was replaced by Molly Singewald to finish the game. Singewald ended up stopping 8 of 9 shots on goal.

Allison Small stood tall for Syracuse stopping 34 of 35 shots on goal for the game and 83 of 85 shots on the weekend
