After a 1-1 start, the Robert Morris women’s hockey team received votes in both national polls this week in advance of their trip to visit the top dogs.

The Colonials received one vote in the USA Hockey / USA Today coaches poll to extend the club’s streak of consecutive weeks with a vote in that poll to 43 weeks. Robert Morris received two points in the USCHO.com media poll.

St. Lawrence, the team that the Colonials opened the season against, was ranked No. 10 by USCHO.com and amongst the others receiving votes by USA Hockey.

Defending national champions Clarkson holds the top spot in both polls. The Colonials will visit the top team in the country for a two-game series this Friday and Saturday.
