HARMAR TWP., Pa. — The last time Duquesne and the West Virginia Mountaineers met this season was in Morgantown on Sept. 30, when WVU squeaked by with a shootout victory.
Friday night, however, saw a decisive victory by the Dukes, as they cruised past West Virginia, 4-1, at Alpha Ice Complex.
On Saturday, Duquesne held its annual Alumni Game. All four current Duquesne coaches, as well as alumni from many years back, came out to battle the current roster. The “Old Duqs” even came away with the 9-8 victory, proving that age is just a number and hockey never truly leaves us.
