Brittany Howard celebrating her NCAA-leading 14th goal of the season -- JENN HOFFMAN

Robert Morris senior forward Brittany Howard was named the CHA Player of the Week for the second time this season. Howard continued her incredible scoring pace with six points in the two game sweep over RIT. This included four goals and two assists, giving her a total of 23 in just 12 games played.

Howard is the reigning CHA Player of the Month, and won the player of the year and scoring title last season. She is now up to 155 points in 119 career games.

LEADING THE NATIONS

Howard leads all NCAA Division I players with 14 goals. To put this total into perspective, her career-high mark in goals is 20, which came last season. She tallied 17 goals in each of her first two complete seasons.

On Saturday against RIT, her second goal was an incredible display of speed and strength. It was the game-winning goal for the Colonials, the fifteenth such goal of her career and third of the season.

MOVING ON UP

The RMU women’s team is ranked No. 9 in this week’s USCHO.com poll. This is up one spot from last week, and tied for their best ranking of the season. Their nine wins are tied for third-most in the nation.

Their ranking extends the team’s streak of being ranked in one of the national polls to 22 straight weeks, dating back to Dec 6, 2016. The team’s next opponent, Ohio State, is ranked No. 5 in the poll. The teams face off Nov. 24 and 25 at RMU Island Sports Center.

ARCTIC FOXES NIGHT

The RMU men’s hockey team plays two games against AIC this weekend at RMU Island Sports Center. Saturday’s game is at 4:05 p.m., and is the first ever Arctic Foxes Night. The Colonials invited the players, families, and staff of the Arctic Foxes, to the game.

The Arctic Foxes share the Island Sports Center with Robert Morris and the Colonials are active volunteers with the Arctic Foxes during their practices. The special night is a result of the effort of senior defenseman Robert Powers, who came up with the idea. The Artcic Foxes coaches have the details for any members of the team wishing to attend.

After the game, there will be a team autograph session for anyone in attendance. Interested fans are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to the West Hills food pantry in Moon. There will also be an opportunity to donate to Toys for Tots at this game. Any fan who brings a new, unwrapped toy to the game will receive free admission.
