Two hockey players are among the 10 players that will be inducted into the Robert Morris Athletic Hall of Fame this season. Nathan Longpre will represent the Robert Morris men’s team and Brianna Delaney will represent the Robert Morris women’s team.
Longpre, a 2011 graduate, was a two-year alternate captain and scored 47 goals and recorded 91 assists in 136 games in his career as a Robert Morris forward.
After graduating, he went straight to the AHL, where he played in parts of five seasons with four teams. He also played in the ECHL and Norwegian and Danish leagues before retiring as a professional last October to begin a career as a firefighter.
Delaney, a 2012 grad, was also an alternate captain in her senior season. She recorded at least 10 goals in each of her four seasons with the Colonials and finished with 53 goals and 67 assists in 136 games.
The Robert Morris Athletic Hall of Fame was founded in 1991. Chris Margott (2015) and Brianne McLaughlin (2014) are the only other two hockey players to be inducted.
