Nowin continues to win, defeats Wheeling Park 7-0

SALEM TWP., Pa. — Logan Connelly (4G/1A) and Jacob Dally (1G/3A) led the Norwin Knights to keep their win streak alive as they beat the Wheeling Park Patriots, 7-0, Monday night at Center Ice Arena.

Connelly earned a natural hat-trick, scoring Norwin’s first three goals in the first period.

Jacob Meier was the other goal scorer for Norwin.

It was only the second game for Wheeling Park in PIHL regular season play.

Sam Coll earned his first shutout on the season stopping 23 shots on net for the Knights. Abram Vigil stopped 21 of 28 shots for the Patriots in the loss.

Norwin (5-0) will stay at Center Ice Arena as they face another hot team in Kiski Area (3-1) on Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 8:30 p.m. Wheeling Park (0-2) will have a busy week as they head home for a two game homestand at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, WV. to host Chartiers Valley (1-3) on Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 7:50 p.m. and Blackhawk (2-1) on Thursday, Nov. 7 at 7 p.m.
