Photo-Jenn-ic: Colonials split with Orange to start 2018

NEVILLE TWP., Pa. — Saturday, the Syracuse Orange came back to split the 2018-opening series with a 4-2 victory over Robert Morris. Jessica DiGirolamo of Syracuse netted her first career goal in the first period giving Syracuse the lead. The Colonials tied it up in the second with a shot by Sarah Lecavalier, only to have the Orange answer taking a 2-1 lead at the end of the second. The Syracuse Orange would score twice more in the third while the Colonials would find a lone goal from Emily Curlett. Freshman Goaltender Edith D’Astous-Moreau got her first start and first win with Syracuse in their Saturday victory.

The Colonials will return to action next Friday, Jan 12 in Columbus against the Ohio State Buckeyes.
