Ringgold Scores 11 Straight to Dominate Wilmington

ROSTRAVER TWP., Pa — Ringgold scored 11 unanswered goals as the Rams overcame an early two-goal defect to romp over Wilmington, 11-2 at Rostraver Ice Garden in the 2020 PIHL Class-B Playoffs on Monday.

Ringgold’s Brad Bujdos and Nathan Day each scored hat tricks. Bujdos also added an assist for a four-point night, which was matched by Justin Day’s one goal and three assists and four helpers from Evan Eberlein.

Wilmington jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first 4:57 of the game on goals from Ben List and Nick Cartwright.

Nath Todd got Ringgold on the board in the first and Bujdos tied the game in the second. Zach Kalinowski scored the eventual game-winner at 5:17 of the middle frame, with Bujdos and Todd adding on from there.

The Rams outshot Wilmington, 54-14 with Greyhounds goaltender Dom Serafino finishing with 43 saves.

Jerry Mease turned aside 12 of 14 for the Rams.

Ringgold will advance to the PIHL Class-B semifinals, where the Rams will face neighboring rival Elizabeth Forward on Monday, March 9 at 7 p.m. at RMU Island Sports Center.
