The Robert Morris women’s hockey team received votes in the preseason USA Hockey / USA Today coaches poll, which was released on Sept. 25.

The poll ranks the top ten teams in the country and the Colonials came in third amongst others receiving votes. They had the second-most votes of any team in College Hockey America, behind No. 10 Mercyhurst.

The Colonials have received at least one vote in 42 consecutive versions of the poll, dating back to November of 2016.

Robert Morris is coming off a 21-8-4 season that saw them win the CHA in the regular season, but fall to the Lakers in the CHA Tournament final.

The Colonials will start their 2018-19 season with a two-game series against St. Lawrence at RMU Island Sports Center this Friday at 7:05 p.m. and Saturday at 3:05 p.m.
