NEVILLE TWP., Pa — Indiana moved one step closer to their elusive Penguins Cup, defeating Freeport 4-0 at Clearview Arena at the Robert Morris Island Sports Center on Wednesday evening. The line of Ben Nettleton, Orlando Clark and Korbin Wilson combined for three goals and seven points for the Indians with Clark netting two of his own. Seamus O’Connor stopped all 24 shots he faced.

The two teams started out evenly matched for the first five minutes of the contests, exchanging end-to-end opportunities with one another before Tanner Agnello carried a puck and fired it from the top of the right circle to beat Tyler Lang at the 4:44 mark of the first. Indiana continued to turn up the dial through the remainder of the period and with 15:50 elapsed Wilson chipped a shot into the net to extend the Indians lead to two.

Indiana clamped down on the Yellowjackets offense throughout the second period, causing chaos and issue for the Freeport attack in the neutral zone that created to a 3-on-1 opportunity for Clark, Nettleton and Wilson that ended with a Clark goal with 2:35 left in the second frame.

Seamus O’Connor had an exceptional game, stopping everything that was thrown at him throughout the night, including two breakaways on Yellowjackets regular season leading scorer Keith Smilowitz.
