GREENSBURG, Pa. — Danny Williams scored 3:54 into overtime as Indiana completed the comeback from a pair of one-goal deficits to upset Bishop McCort, 4-3 in the 2020 PIHL Class-A Penguins Cup Playoffs.
Williams scored a power play goal on a feed from Tyler Agnello while McCort’s Nikita Zapolski was in the box.
Orlando Clark had tied the game for the Indians at 8:11 of the third period.
Adis Ultanbekov scored all three goals for the Crushers.
Seamus O’Conner stopped 19 of 22 in net for Indiana, while Cole Bradley saved 37 of 41 for McCort.
Indiana will face the winner of Kiski Area and Norwin in the semifinals at RMU Island Sports Center on Tuesday, March 10 at 7 p.m.
Class-A rivals clash at Kirk S. Nevin Arena in Greensburg as Bishop McCort faces Indiana in a quarterfinal matchup.
