CECIL TWP., Pa. -— The game between Class-3A rivals Canon-McMillan Big Macs and Peters Township Indians was postponed at Printscape Arena Tuesday night after a Peters Township player suffered an apparently serious injury.
Just under three minutes into the game, Peters Township senior Seth Hanna was behind the Indians’ net when he took a hit from Canon-McMillan forward Taron Prezel. Contact from Prezel and the boards caused Hanna to collapse to the ice.
Hanna was stretchered off the ice and was taken to a local hospital. Prezel was assigned a five-minute major penalty for the hit.
The game was postponed by PIHL officials. No word has been issued on when the game will be rescheduled.
