ROBINSON TWP, Pa. — The Robert Morris women’s hockey team will play in the program’s first NCAA Tournament starting on Saturday.

It’ll be a quick introduction to the game’s highest level, as the Colonials drew Wisconsin, the number one team in the country in the regional round.

Furthermore, the Colonials will face the top-seeded Badgers at La Bahn Arena on the Wisconsin campus in Madison. The 2,400-seat facility should be packed to the rafters with fans, as the Badgers averaged over capacity for their 18 home dates this season.

It should be the highest-attended game this group of Colonials has ever played in and will certainly be a phenomenal atmosphere.

The Colonials gathered at All Star Sports Bar & Grill to watch the live stream of the selection announcement. Despite the news of their tough draw, which they had expected, the Colonials were still excited to hear their named called.

In women’s hockey, the NCAA tournament is an eight-team affair, with the first round being played on the campus of the higher seeded team. The four teams that win in the first weekend will head to St. Louis, Missouri for the 2017 Women’s Frozen Four the following weekend. Here’s the full tournament bracket:
