NEVILLE TWP, PA — On Wednesday night at RMU Island Sports Center, the Armstrong River Hawks defeated the Upper St. Clair Panthers, 11-4, to advance to the Double-A Penguins Cup championship.
The second game of the night featured the Quaker Valley Quakers against the Pine-Richland Rams. After the Quakers jumped out to a 2-0 lead, the Rams battled back with two minutes left in the third to cut that lead in half. Unfortunately for them, Quaker Valley answered almost immediately and held off any last second comeback to secure the 3-1 victory.
