Robert Morris women’s hockey goaltender Elijah Milne-Price has been named the CHA Goaltender of the Week.
Milne-Price started her third career game on Friday and helped RMU earn a 2-1 victory over the Maine Black Bears. She improved to 2-0 on the season and has maintained a .950 save percentage and a 0.99 GAA in her two games this season.
Milne-Price, who is called “E.J.” by her teammates, had never received a weekly conference award in her four-year career.
Syracuse forward Kelli Rowswell was named the conference’s Player of the Week and Mercyhurst forward Megan Krozack was named the Rookie of the Week.
POLL POSITION
The Colonials dropped out of the USCHO.com Top 10 poll on Monday, receiving 14 vote points while formerly unranked Cornell received 18 points to claim he No 10 spot. The Colonials have received votes in 20 consecutive weeks, dating back to November 2016.
METSA EARNS HONORS
Youngstown Phantoms defenseman Zach Metsa was named the USHL’s Defenseman of the Week. The 18-year-old had four assists in two games last weekend against the Fargo Force.
Metsa had 24 assists in 57 games with the Merritt Centennials of the BCHL last season. He’s committed to Quinnipiac for the 2018-19 season.
