PITTSBURGH — The Robert Morris University Colonials beat the Lake Superior State Lakers, 5-0, in the second semifinal of the 2017 Three Rivers Classic on Friday.
Timmy Moore, Alex Tonge and Brady Ferguson got early goals for Robert Morris in the first period. Freshman defenseman Nick Jenny scored his first career goal in the second and Luke Lynch finished up the scoring for the night with a power-play goal.
Tomorrow, at 4:30 p.m. the Lakers will take on the Arizona State Sun Devils in the consolation game. Meanwhile, Robert Morris will match up against the Providence Friars at 7:30 p.m. in the championship game.
