NEVILLE TWP., Pa. — After a 3-1 Friday victory for the Robert Morris Colonials, the Bentley Falcons even the teams’ best-of-three, first-round Atlantic Hockey playoff series with a 4-3 Saturday victory. With split, they forced a deciding game Sunday night.
Sophomore Luke Lynch, got Robert Morris on the board first just 2 minutes into the game. Bentley responded with two goals before the end of the period from Charlie Marchand and Jonathan Desbiens.
Two more sophomores struck for Robert Morris: Dan Mantenuto and Matt Graham. The Colonials would take a short lived lead, 3-2, for the third. The Falcons potted then two more from Luke Santerno and Kyle Schmidt.
The Colonials will face the Falcons Sunday at RMU Island Sports Center at 7:05 p.m. The winner will advance to the quarterfinals of the Atlantic Hockey playoffs.
