It was a busy first night of the PIHL Penguins Cup on Monday night as three Class-A teams advanced to the quarterfinals and the winner of the Class-AAA play in game was determined.
In Class-AAA, it’ll be Canon-McMillan moving on to face rival Peters Township in the first round on Tuesday, March 5.
There are no changes to the Class-AA bracket, where play-in games will begin Tuesday night.
In Class-A, three teams punched tickets to the second round of the postseason on Monday night, and Blackhawk knocked off Beaver in a play-in game.
The Division 2 bracket was also finally set, thanks to Connelsville beating Knoch in the final regular season game, giving Trinity the eighth and final postseason slot.
