The Robert Morris men’s hockey team is ranked in the latest USCHO.com poll for the second time this year.
The Colonials (8-3, 6-1 in Atlantic Hockey) are at No. 20 in the poll released on Monday. They previously found themselves at the same ranking on Dec. 14.
The ranking comes after a stretch of three wins in four days, including the program’s first sweep of conference foe RIT since the 2014-15 season.
The Colonials are the second-ranked Atlantic Hockey team, one spot behind No. 19 AIC. Minnesota is the No. 1 team in the country, followed by Boston College, North Dakota, Minnesota State and Minnesota-Duluth.
RMU will look to improve its ranking on Thursday when they start a three-game series against Niagara (2-5-3, 1-4-3-1). The Colonials will visit the Purple Eagles on Thursday with a 5:05 p.m. faceoff and then host games at Clearview Arena on Saturday at 7:35 p.m. and Sunday at 4:05 p.m.
