After scoring three points over two games against No. 2 Minnesota, Robert Morris defender Emily Curlett has been named the College Hockey America co-player of the week.
Curlett recorded a pair of assists in Friday’s 4-3 overtime loss to the Golden Gophers. Both assists came from point shots that created rebound opportunities for her teammates, including Michaela Boyle’s game-tying goal in the final minute of regulation.
Saturday, she scored a power play goal to tie the game at 2-2 early in the third period before Minnesota pulled away late.
Through four games, the junior from Lapeer, Michigan has two goal and two assists and is a plus-2. She is tied for third on the team in goals and points.
The 2-2 Colonials are ranked No. 10 in this week’s USCHO poll and will host No. 4 Clarkson this weekend at RMU Island Sports Center in the first home meeting between ranked opponents for Robert Morris since 2017. Friday’s game will start at 7:05 p.m. and Saturday’s faceoff is scheduled for 3:05 p.m.
